Diamondback Response Sport

I realize this is a lower end mt bike but I do lower end mt biking so that's fine with me!

I just wanted to find out if anyone has this bike or similar...any info that would help my potential future purchase would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

it's very similar in components to the bike I started on, (trek 4300) IF it get's you on the trail it's the best bike ever.:)

i have an offer to purchase an '06 barely used at about half price..that's why i'm interested in it..

it would serve two purposes....winter short commuting around the city and some intermediate double track riding in a park near my house.

The biggest drawback to the bike is the fork, But very few bikes in that price range come with an oil bath, rebound adjustable fork. and if they do, they really don't offer a lot of adjustability. Heck A lot of the forum started on and still ride fully rigid bikes. It will be a good entry level bike but do your homework anyways, Visit your local bike shop Ride a couple other entry level bikes so you at least have some knowledge to compare with. and Good luck with your descision

Hey Sisu, I picked up a DB Response Sport to get started in mountain biking and for commuting duty. I love it! It may be an entry level bike, but I've got a ways to go before I'll need something better. :-)

cool..i passed up the original nice price i was offered but test road the regular Response and the Response Sport. The sport disc brakes are nice...i tried an 18 and a 20..seems like i'm an 18.

i may still end up getting one...my lbs quoted me $400 for the sport and $329 for the regular Response.

thanks

I had a DB sorrento. it was a great bike for starting out. It had masive tires on it for some reason. I wore it down to the ground in about 2 years. The response has better every thing compaired to my sorrento so i would say yes
