ok these are easy to awnser questions but i need to know.

1.) what type of grease du you use to lub cabels? dose it matter?

2.) how do you take care of your fork, lub, dirt? (my manual is crap and i hope to upgrade to air)

3.) how do you clip into egg beaters? you use the same type of shoe clip in thing right?

4.) what do you do if you get a crack in your frame? can you fix it yourself? im thinking gorilla glue.

wow, these have been bothering me for along time.

ive used duct tape on my frame, it holds up find, just be sure to use the kind with the duck on it, the rest is crap :)

Yes, just use an spd compatible shoe.

I use triflow when I first install the cables. Change the cables once a season; they are only a couple of dollars each.

I haven't really done much for my forks, although one is due for a service. There are stanchion lubes out there if you are getting stiction.

Get a pair of SPD compatible shoes, and mount the cleats (instructions should be with the pedals). They can be adjusted a bit fore-aft, side-side, and rotationally, to get your feet into an ideal position for you.

Get a new frame. Is your bike under warranty?

thank you for awnsering my questions. the little thing are the things that matter most.

1.) i use lithium grease for most every thing, if i have a big job, like ball barings i use jt-6. seems to work. of course i ues the proper grease for my chain.

2.) my manual for my fork says, "rutine mantinets is required, contact use at blabbalbal for futher questions" so i was just wondering if anything special was need.

3.) that sweet im am giving my dad my old pedals and trading up to egg beaters!

4.) i was just kiding about the gorilla glue, my bike has a crake by the seat post and the warranty has expired. im getting a new bike anyway.

Chain lube (oil) seems to work better on the chain. ;)

I spray mine down daily w/ WD-39. It's almost as good as WD-40

I used a blo-torch on one of mine. Heated the entire frame up to 628 degrees F. and then laid 6 slices of whole wheat sandwich bread across the crack. When my wife woke me up, the crack was gone...

1) i lub my cabels with whatever is around, as i think it does matter, i just don't care as long as they work ok

2) i take care of my fork lub and dirt with a soft towel to the stanchions. really depends on your fork though. my RS Judy doesn't require much of nuthin, my wife's Reba is spankin new but will require more.
2b) a bad manual isn't a reason to upgrade to air, as an air fork's manual might suck too. also, are you sure you're reading it right? perhaps you could post a tough part on here and someone could explain it better

4) what i would do is stop riding it immediately and replace the frame, well if i was out on a trail i might ride it back to the car depending on the size of the crack, but it would be that frame's last ride. if you're seriously broke and can't afford a new frame you might be able to fix it. if your frame is steel or cromo you might be able to weld it or have it welded, if it's alum i don't know any really good alum glues, and alum isn't that great at being re-welded, JB Weld perhaps? i dunno, in any case even if fixed i think it would be prone to cracking again.

As for my new bike, I might get the Fisher Cobia, I dont like the panzy blue color. Ive been saving for 2 years and have looked at alot of bikes.
