Jamis does a real nice job with their frames. Like everyone else who builds entry level to pro stuff, their entry level stuff is comparable to everything else. It is when you get to performance to pro level frames that it really changes. Their flagship hardtail for example, the Dragon. Sweet Reynolds 853 frame. What more can you say?

Hi Camo,
My mate used to ride for the Jamis Team in the UK, and loved their bikes. He got the top of the line Dragon down to 19.5 Ibs in weight...now that can't be bad for a steel frame!

I work Saturdays at a shop that is a Jamis dealer. They make a really nice product, the only problem is that no one recognizes the name so they don't sell very well. They've stayed away from aluminum frames and maybe that's why they're not mainstream bikes. However, for the price, you'd be hard pressed to find a better component mix on a very well made bike. I was thinking of getting one if I sell me Cannondale. Anyone want a F2000SX well maintained so I can get a Dakar Pro?
BTW. another brand that doesn't get a lot of recognition that has nice quality at a great price and in aluminum if that's the way you want to go, is HARO. Check out their hardtails. My friend bought a hardtail and built it up with full XT, it's sweet and only weighs about 22.5 lbs.
