My EWR OWB 29er

Really digging it so far after a couple of rides. 1x9 setup, fast and furious and behaves like it was made to rail turns.

How do you like the new Reba?

Particularly if you've spent much time on the 08. I'm pretty tempted by the U turn if I can spring the cash.

I like but I am just getting it dialed in. I'll let you know in a bit, it is still premature for a full on review.

I must say that I am more and more impressed by Rock Shox. This is my second Reba (still have a 80mm 07 sl version) and I am beginning to wonder why Fox still gets such a premium for their forks.

Gracias

I dropped the chain a couple of times so I am going to have to fuddle with some chain retention solutions. I am looking to try some minimal chain keeper type stuff. If I can find one I might get the blackspire inner guard thingy.

I guess my main concern in switching to the increased offset of the new forks. Then again, the anal retentiveness of the folks at that other forum may be rubbing off on me.

I went for the fork because Jay at EWR said the frame was pretty much designed with this particular fork in mind, and he rode a through axle version on his bike.

so I guess it would depend on the bike I was putting it on.

I got a Third Eye chain watcher for my 1x9. It works fine, but my chain wasn't dropping that much anyway. If you've got the bank for one of those Blackspire thingers then that seems like the stylish choice.

Picture my SGS, but without a shock. Or bars. Or stem.

Picture my hardtail, with the bars and stem from my SGS.
