but wanting to hit more resort time this summer, and not be undergunned on my pitch - which is a nice, nice fun ride on the local stuff, but a bit limited on bigger stuff like that. even if i don't use the thing all the time, it'll be nice to have around in the stable. my bike quiver is very full now.

though the corsair marque frame really is intriguing me as an eventual replacement for the pitch frame. it's so new though. figure a season or two on the pitch, and any quirks or issues with the first marque generation will have been worked and smoothed out.
What resorts do you have in mind?

diablo, killington, platty for the most part. there are a few smaller spots not too far that supposedly have good stuff.

only place i've hit out east so far was hunter mtn. once last summer. it was pretty mellow - wasn't anything there that i couldn't have done on my hardtail, and that was even with a couple local boys showing me some unmarked goods.

It's an old GT.

Google the GT "STS, LTS, LTS 2000, RTS, Lobo"...you may like what you see. BTW...don't let the dual crown fool you.

I do remember wanting one of those back in the day though.

If you're into that kinda retro luvin'...look up the Schwinn "4-banger" and "Straight-six"

On a side note...you don't see too many pictures of bikes with the chain on the big ring. They usually put it in the middle or small ring to snap the picture. That's just kinda cool looking for some dang reason.

unless you browse the roadie forums...every pic has to have the chain on the big ring, or you get picked on

Say what you will, but I think XC Pro thumbshifters are the best shifters ever made. If only they came in 9 speed Shimano Compatible....

it's what i'm using to drive the front shifter on two of my mtbs, with sram x.9 twist shifters for the rear. rocking combo. light, durable, never had any issue with mis-shifts.

i've got a spare setup of this in the parts bin. used x-5 shifters on my newest build to see how i like them instead - if they stuck, the thumby front and x.9 twist shifter rear combo will replace it.

Sweet! Good luck on the recovery.

2 things:
Whassup with your chain?
You may think about saving about $120-$140 for a Rockshox Tora.

My chain? That is how all the cool kids ride. The rack the bike is sitting in is pushing on the rear derailleur. It is normally under tension. I am planning on a new fork sometime during the next few months, but haven't really researched them yet. I will keep the Tora in mind. Thanks!

Yeah I see what you mean, I took the picture right after I assembled the bike, didn't pay attention to where the chain was, other than the pedals missing in the picture anyone notice something else missing?
it didn't come in the box with the bike and I can't ride it yet, any guesses.
