The Mallets are the Crank Bros. I'm referring to. Haven't ridden extensively on either, but I prefer Time because all Crank Bros. have the Eggbeater design at their core, which tend to eject you (I find) if you knock the pedal on a log or something. And they wear out fast. But they're easy to get out of, if that's your thing.
The Time models are called Z Controls, I believe. Smaller platform, but they're nice. Shimano has one, too.
