Here it is, my pride and joy. My (finally) completely upgraded 06 Anthem 3, weighing in at 24.5 pounds! What do you think?

I ride with SPD shoes, Shimano SH-MA80. I ride clipped mostly but switch to platform when I know I'll likely need to step off (highly technical or unfamiliar). works for me.

Change the pedals. If only for the forum's sake, or for the love of the earth you ride on, change the pedals.

Crank Bros. and Time make some very nice platform/clipless pedals.

The Mallets are the Crank Bros. I'm referring to. Haven't ridden extensively on either, but I prefer Time because all Crank Bros. have the Eggbeater design at their core, which tend to eject you (I find) if you knock the pedal on a log or something. And they wear out fast. But they're easy to get out of, if that's your thing.

The Time models are called Z Controls, I believe. Smaller platform, but they're nice. Shimano has one, too.
