Awesome. Thanks C Law. So far it seems like a pretty solid bike. We shall see with a bit of riding. I will probably change out the stem, seat post, and handlebar, though. Never heard of Skye and I can't seem to find any reviews.

Interloc as in IRD?! Fascinating! Only knew them for their compnents. BTW, are those BB7s I see? Now, why didn't you go with the Dual-Bangers?

^ probably because of that carbon fork on there. Looks like he is a bit of a weight weenie and didn't want the dual bangers. One banger is ok but 2? well, thats one too many bangers, isn't it now.

s'cuse my ignorance... "dual-bangers"? as in bangers and mash? Sorry, mashed potatoes and sausages are too heavy for cycling food. I'd rather go with a couple packets of Gu and a bottle of Accelerade
I'm not a true weight weenie but I certainly don't want excessive weight if I could help it. This one's my "simple" bike without going SS. I still have my hardtail w/ sus fork and my full suspension bike for those other days I don't wanna go "simple".

IRD Dual-Bangers mechanical discs. They're set up to squeeze inner and outer pucks into the rotor ('dual action' rather than one fixed and one moveable like the Avids). I was really just kidding though, based on them being from the same 'family.' From everything I've read, BB7s work better than the IRDs regardless.
