Here is my version of Ed's Crapper. I talk about it all the time but I realized today when I was washing the fleet that I had never posted a picture. The stem and bars are stupidly high, but that will be remedied soon. I am also contemplating at a rigid fork but after the last two rides I am thinking that may I should rethink.

Part one of the xc to trail rebuild started today with the delivery of my bb7 front brake and rhyno lite rims/DT Swiss spoke/Deore hub wheelset, and sd7 brake levers. After a quick trip to the LBS to get some cable and rim strips, I got the front all set up. After a medium ride, the pads are bedded in nicely with no squealing.
Part two of the rebuild will only comprise of installing a Rock Shox Tora 302 coil fork as well as a new stem to replace the damper free Manitou that is currently there

Happen to have a handy photo for the latest bike I just finished up. Not really new, although there are a few new parts I treated myself to, it's a new/replacement Nomad frame SC provided (old one cracked). Seat/post were just for holding it in the rack, a Gravity Dropper goes on when I take it off the rack in a few minutes for it's first ride...

This should probably go into the hardtail thread....
Specialized M2 Stumpjumper circa 1993 (I think) - bought when I worked at B&J Bicycle Shop in San Antonio TX
XT - RD/FD, rear hub and brakes and thumb shifters
Ritchey Vantage rims
Campagnolo cranks
American Classic front hub with 28 butted spokes
Sekae Powerbulge ti bars
Litespeed ti stem
Ritchey brake levers
Specialized post and bar ends
Turbo saddle
SPDs
I use it to commute to work daily on Fort Campbell......and do daily rides on rough roads/singletrack during the week.
Sorry for the dirt......

Here's my current ride, 1999 Schwinn Homegrown Factory Suspension. SID Dual Air F/R, XT V-brakes, shifters, levers, ft der, xtr rear der, ceramic coated rims, titec stem, easton Monkey Lite carbon bar. There's a little room to upgrade this rig, but I'm having fun with it for now.
