Don't forget to mention that this is in New Jersey.

If this was in Update New York or northern Vermont, I'd be all over this. As is, it's a pretty long haul for me. *sigh*

No drops? Not even two feet? ;)

Sounds good. Jersey isn't too far from here, so it wouldn't be a problem getting there. I've done road rides with other BF members. Would be nice to get out in the woods and meet some of yous.

No drops as in dropping other riders.

I am in for a ride in late spring early summer at The kingdom trails or Killington if anyone is up to it. Or any other spot with a lot of riding It all depends on the spring though weather wise (ie wet or dry).

Kingdom Trails is very tempting. That is just 2 hours south of me so I would definitely do Kingdom Trails if I'm not out of town on business.

I'm down, I'll keep an eye open for details

Age an issue (I'm 15)? Also, could i bring a friend along?

Dannihilator 12-05-06 05:22 PM

NO problems at all with that.

May I humbly suggest the buffer zone at Stewart state forest? It’s in NY, but not too far from northern NJ, and it’s great all around riding. 65+ miles of beautiful single track ranging from flat, clear meander through the woods, all the way to aggressive downhill

Potential issues coming up involving this ride attempt. Things are starting to hit the fan at the first location selected. Seems like the state has decided to try their hand at trail maintenance again at Round Valley, the crew there are literally as dumb as a flat of bricks when it comes to trail maintenance, all obstacles have been removed and from the looks of things they are getting ready to bull doze and gravel the rest of the trail that has yet to be touched. Scrambling right now to find a replacement area for the first day(the locations have to be close enough in the case if something happens to any of the bikes that I will have a short enough distance that I can drive back to the house/shop I work at and get what is needed to fix the problem), if I'm not successful, this Forum ride might have to be put on hold until I can get some new trails built.

The other issue is that my father is going to be having total knee replacement surgery January 22 on his right knee and is scheduled sometime around when this happens to get his left knee replaced.

If I can get off from work, I'll ride.

Stewart State Forest is very close to me, so that'd be my natural first choice. But I can travel to NJ or Vermont if I have the weekend off.

So when is it going to be ? We can do two days in Kingdom trails 5/18 and 5/19 or something like that. One day on the darling hill side and one day on the mountain side.

santiago 03-14-07 07:42 PM

I'd go to Kingdom Trails.
