Peugeot Fun Star!
Yesterday I picked up an older (mid 80's, judging by the grey/pink color scheme) rigid mtb.
It is a Peugeot Fun Star. Made in France. CroMo frame. Diablo hubs. 24 tpi BB threads. Cantilever brakes. Not lugged, but I would guess brazed; is that even possible?
What is this thing? Anyone ever heard of it?
And, bonus question: on the tube that connects the Headtube with the BB (can't remember the name of this tube. must be getting old) there is a small hole on the underside of each end. Each hole as a white plastic grommet insert with an open inside diameter of about 1mm. My first thought was a strange routing for a cable, but it really does not look like it. Seems like they would have be angled to make that work, and these are drilled perpendicularly to the tube.
I have cross-posted this in classic/vintage.

I have one...well, I now have a snapped frame in the garage. I got mine new in '88. I took the pics I had online down so I can't post anything. The last version I had of mine was a singlespeed with a front disc brake but I snapped a chainstay while climbing and I haven't bothered to do anything with it.

Yeah, it is a silly name. And silly paint job to match.
I set this up as a fixed gear (42x20), 165 crankarms, and some junky wheels I had sitting around. It is pretty fun. I have been running fixed on the road for a while and wanted to try this. $15 later, I have a cool new way to hammer around the woods.
Anyone else doing this?

Make it a pimp-mo-bike.
I promise you you'll get more butt then a toilet at a truck stop.
Peugeot makes bikes? This comes as a suprise to me, I only though Peugeot made cars. Maybe I'm just stupid.

The French don't make great cars(compared to the top asian, american and german), so I can only speculate on their "peugeot" bikes I love their french fries, though

Peugeot had been making bikes for a long time (since the late 1800's) and they made some very high quality bikes. But I wouldn't group the 'Fun Star' in with the good, old road bikes they made.
