hard tail/down hill

is ther any bike that will be great for dirt jumping but also can be used to down hill....looking for a hardtail

Depends on the dh. If you are talking steep technical big drops pro level dh you had better be a good rider because you won't be going nearly fast enough to bring it up a mountain. Any superslack bike will work. The north shore crowd like 243 Bike because it is very overbuilt and strong and can handle a big travel fork.

There are many ht's built for that kind of strength. You best bet is to check out frames sold by www.unrealcycles.com as the bikes they carry are generally the strongest on the market and are usually urban/dh/dj specific ht's.
