my new schwinn s-25

I bought this bike for only $200 and its great. its not that light but the quality is amazing...i guess its not a "real" schwinn but a pacific bike. For this price its well worth it. ive been on trails and it was great.
it held up and nothing broke even when i fell and fliped the bike 3 times!!
it came with great instructions on every single screw and part on the bike with photos.

i wanted to know whats the difference between this bike and a $2000 bike?

Congrats on the new bike, Alex!! You might want to consider taking the kickstand off if you are riding on trails because if it should come down while riding, it could be dangerous. Also, the reflectors might break off eventually and will become trail trash and a hazard for those who ride behind you.

Have fun and I'm glad you like it.

Oh. And don't forget the helmet!

Please, save us all some time and just donate it to the local homeless and/or local illegal labor pool ASAP.

A little - it's hard to find a trap that will chuck them high enough, though.

A lot; but you will nonetheless have fun and no doubt learn a LOT along the way.

lol, the parts are wayyy different in quality between target and lbs bikes. just think about the differences... target is meant for selling furniture/clothes/everydaystuff, not bikes. lbs are meant just to sell bikes and bike parts, they pretty much put each bike together themselves, they know each bike inside and out. trust me, you WILL notice the difference in quality parts sooner or later. especially if you're riding on trails day in and dayout.

but congrats on the bike(you built it all up yourself!)! i hope you enjoy it.

also...jw, how are you supposed to get that water bottle out... looks pretty tight

I know about Target bikes!

I brought my mom's up to college as a form of transport. A couple of skids and curb hops later, the back rim was all nicely twisted up. The gears didn't change all that well, and you couldn't true the wheel because they were circular and wouldn't grasp a truing wrench.

It was a fun bike while it lasted. I just bought a raleigh mojave 4.0 for use around campus and the breaks are wayyy better and it shifts much much much better and easier. Plus, it doesn't weigh 40 pounds haha.

i bet your bike is in the 40lb range

the fork will not give out (seals blow out) after a few rides. and by rides i mean going to real trails with rock and roots. the seat will not rip after a few rides in the element. the wheels will not get out of true after riding down a hill after a few rides. and by down a hill, i mean a dirt hill or something with bumps.
