There was a guy selling a y-22 with a sweet paint job on the for sale forum, but his thread got deleted when the server crapped out. He never did repost his thread.

There's a pretty tricked-out Y-5 (w/Spin carbon mags)on e-bay right now for a buy-it-now of $475:

4 Trek Y-bikes total out there.

for that kind of $$ i'd stick with HT. i've heard of some people getting really low end FS just to ride around town and be able to sit and go off curbs, and they don't care much about efficiency because their rides are short distances. for that those are Ok I guess.

Trek Y was not exactly a "low-end FS." URT designs are out of fashion now, but they work pretty well for XC - - as long as you do what you're supposed to, keep your butt planted, select the right gear and pedal in circles.

My buddy has a Y22, raced it for 8 years and then the rear rim assploded. Obviously a suspension design flaw.
