Winter project
Over the winter I have slowly been building an XC hardtail. I got a Gary Fisher Piranha frame new off Ebay for $75. So far I've put on a Marzocchi MX Pro ETA/TAS with cane creek headset, Race Face Ride XC crankset with matching BB and XT disc brakes with dual control levers. The rest of the parts will be at the house today and tomorrow, thanks to tax returns. So I'll be busy building the next couple of evenings and I can't wait to get out and take it for a ride. I'll post pics when It's done.

Ok Fine. I've got the pics during the build. Got the wheels today and the rest will be on the doorstep and installed tomorrow.
Frame with crankset headset and rear brake installed

Added fork and front brake. That is not the stem that will be on the bike

I really like that piranha frame. I took one for a ride at the lbs to see if it felt much different from the Marlin. It rides nicely and looks very cool.

So I took it for a test ride today up and down my street doing wheelies and bunny hops and stuff. I learned the hard way that those kind of things are a lot differant on a hardtail than a dualie. I attempted to ride a wheelie and as soon as I pulled up I was on my back faster than I could say *****. I tried to wash the pain away with beer and Vicodin but my a$$ still hurts.
I think it's going to be a sweet ride once I get it out on the trails.
