How much is this bike worth?
First of all, it's my first post here so, hi.
Second, I'm not sure if this thread is in the wrong place but I looked around and couldn't find a better place to put it.
Anyways, I have a buddy that offered to sell me his bike because he no longer has time to ride it. We used to ride together but someone stole my bike, so now I'm in the market for a new one. I'm interested in the bike to hold me over until summer. Being a college student means this is all I can afford for now, but once I can work more during the summer I plan to get a new hardtail in the 1000 dollar price range. I know it isn't much but, hey, it's better than nothing.
The bike is a 2004 Specialized Hardrock Sport. Stock.
It is in more or less immaculate condition, hasn't been ridden in quite some time I'm sure but he keeps it in his living room. The bike MAY have one scratch on it. It has been taken to the trails possibly 5 times (mild riding) and was mainly used just to ride around campus.
Here are some of the specs:
-RST Gilla T4, 100mm travel, preload adjust
-Tektro V-Brakes
-Shimano Acera F/R Derailleurs
-Shimano Altus Shift/Brake Levers
Thanks!
Oh and P.S. - I checked eBay a few times but there was never much in this range listed. Also, the bike is a 19 inch.

If it helps, i bought a 2003 hardrock sport off craigslist for my wife for $80. Hers is scratched up, but everything works flawlessly.
$250 is way too high imo.

I have the 2003 model of that exact bike. I was about to sell mine and $150 is about right I believe. $250 is far too much I think.
