Inexpensive frame
I am kind of getting back into biking, the last time I bought a bike SIS shifting didn't exist. Today I bought a 2003 khs xc504 at the the pawn shop unfortunalty the bottom frame is cracked and I know that is death to AL frame, I got it for $80 so I figured the rest of the stuff on it was worth that and I would try to find a frame to put it on, I am not going to do any serious off road stuff, just riding with my kid so I can loose some weight (currenly a petite 270). I know the wife has the "you aint going to start spending money on another new hobby are ya" look on her face, I have a bunch of guitars and cameras now. So I just want to find something that I can use in the <$200 range. I have done some internet searching but can't find many frames only. Thanks for the advice.

Keep in mind, the bb, seat post and headset may not fit the new(er) frame.
Good luck, mtbiking is a great way to have fun and loose weight
