Tires for SS XC

So, any recommendations for a fully rigid SS (Surly 1x1), for mostly XC, Trails, Dirt, Some Mud, basically as versatile as possible. This is in Wisconsin. I was thinking something pretty light, and I've heard that High Volume/Low Pressure tires are ideal.
Thanks for any suggestions/experiences!

Nevegals. Mutano Raptors 2.24 race for high volume, decent weight

But, come on man!! I used to have a surly 1x1. you have got to stick fat meat on that bike!!

I'd say WTB Timberwolf Race Tires 2.7''.

Plenty of room to spare..

Panaracer Rampage... very fast, versatile, light and high volume, or Maxxis Ignitor 2.3's.

I run/ran Bontrager Jones Mud X. I've recently switched to wider Hutchison(sp?) Spider for the extra width. I've had nothing but good times with the Jones Mud though.

I'd run a 2.3" tire or bigger. I started out on 1.9" race tires - oh gawd, the pain.
