Trek & Scott bike ID please
Hi to everyone at Bike Forums
I have the chance to buy either of these bikes from auction but the descriptions are sketchy. Sorry about the small pics but they are all I have
All I know is that one's a trek full suss model described as Trek 8(MEW?) 27spd Bontrager/Shimano.
Can anyone ID this model, full spec & year plus approximate second hand value please
Many thanks in advance for your help

This one is the possibility
https://ridgy37.tripod.com/scott.jpg
Described as a:
"Scott 'Octane' (although I can only find reference to 'Hi Octane' models and those look a little different). Rear wheel hub shows 'Shimano Deore FH-M510 VIAM'. Frame shows 'Scott Ultra Fat Butt Lite 7005-T6 Aluminium'. Front forks have 'mbr' and 'jr' stickers. Rear forks show 'project octane' and 'mbr'. Wheels show 'Mavic'. Saddle shows 'Selle Italia Genuine Gel Nitrox'. Front brakes area shows 'magura'."
Any information on this one would be appreciated too along with a second hand value.

Ok let's try this a different way. I've re-uploaded to Pinkbike so hope this works.

The Trek looks like an '05 Fuel EX 8. Listed retail price new in 2005 was around $2300 US. Street price was closer to $2000. I owned one for a few days but took it back for an '06 EX 8. Very nice. Good components if it's the same bike. Shimano brakes and LX/XT, Rock Shox Reba fork if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah it is a '05 Trek that I bought on sale from my LBS for $1750 that year. It has been a great bike to this day! I would love to get a '07 Ex9.5 if I could afford to.
