Best place in Colorado to mtb?

My grandmother pays for our family (aunts, uncles, cousins) to go on a vacation every summer, yes she has more money then she knows what to do with. This year everyone is leaning towards going to Colorado, Winter Park, Vail. I am also moving there this summer.

So I want to know where some great places to go riding are so I can spend a day on the trails. Of course with it being Colorado, I bet it wouldn't matter where we go. I don't really have any way to train for serious off-road riding living in Houston, so nothing too extreme. I read online Winter Park has 600 miles of trails? I also need a place to rent a nice f/s bike, I would assume most areas have shops though.

So, are you moving to WP, or FC?

Plenty of good trail around both. All depends on what and how you like to ride. Neither of those spots has a ton of burly technical riding, but you'll be close to other spots that do. Both have good r**d riding. FC is larger, obviously, and presents more urban riding opportunity.
