Sweet. Now multiply each of those by 12 and next thing you know you'll be ready to get back on the bike.

this has nothing to do with my trek. Don't make assumptions. Stay away from bruisers. Not treks in general. Lance armstrong rode treks. He probably still does for recreation. It was a trampoline. The force was like a car hitting from my leg from the side. Knee goes to the right and below my knee goes to the left. And, Siu Blue Wind where did you get the phrase "wha happen"? I'm curious because me ad my friends say it all the time.
And the doctor said it's the worst break of the tibial plateau he has ever seen.

Oh, and the rods are going through my bones.

Hi Trekbikedude-

Please. Listen. To. Your. Physical. Therapist. He or she will be an important part of your recovery and will speed your return back to the bicycle. Keep up your spirits and you'll be good as new soon.

very broad question -- that entirely depends on your taste in music. personally i dont like modest mouse very much but my little brother loves them. theyre kinda medium punk rock. idk, it would probably be worth downloading some stuff to find out, but im not gonna promote buying their music cuz i dont like it.

EDIT: didnt mean to ignore the injuries of the OP, sorry. ill just say this: "HOLY $%#&!!!!!" youre probably not gonna be on a bike for quite a while, dude. that really blows.

I'll second that one. PT has put me back whole a couple of times now. Those folks really know their stuff.

Those rods look like a new use for old spokes

Sorry to read of your dilemma, trekbikedude; heal well. If you're looking for an inspiring book, I highly recommend Marla Strebb's Downhill: Life Story of a Gravity Goddess.

They are called external fixators, and they are good things. As others have said, pay attention to your P.T. And as Pete alluded to with his post: request some good conscious sedation when removal day comes around.

Oh the kids around here say that when they get really curious about something that is surprising.

I hope you are resting fine and feeling better. Remember that pain meds mask the pain and trick you into thinking that you can do more than you are supposed to do. Don't over do things. Right now is the chance to spoil yourself the best you can and let others help you with things, okay?

You are on your way to healing, don't let it get ya down.

Nice break mate, reminds me of a photo from the Aussie AMB mag a couple years ago. Chris Kovarik had recently broken his leg on an MX, they had a photo of him in one of those Halo's (well actually it's not one for head so I don't know what it is called) infront of his ute. Think of an old Toyota Hilux which has been raised HEAPS, with a guy with massive hair and mullet lying on a deck chair with his foot on an upside down bin, beer in one hand and a steak on a fork coming off a BBQ next to him.

Good luck with the recovery and do all the exercises they tell you and don't push it too early.
