onguard locks

should i send in the registration thing for a "limited warranty"? is it worth it or is there so much fine print that it really doesnt mean anything?

I'd do it. The amount that is potentially reimbursed depends on the model of lock you purchased.

It's only good for up to 3 years and is not valid in New York. If you plan on either of those then the Kryptonite New York Fahggetaboutit chain and lock are what you need.

it says to do it withint 15 days of purchase...what if it is over 15 days since i got it?

Call them and see if you can get an extension. If not...take it back to where you bought it. Get a refund. Buy a new one right then and there. Send that reciept in.

Just write today's date. If they ask you for a receipt say that received it as a gift today. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just send it in.
