Fait Accompli

I'll be picking up Salsa's frame from the bike shop tomorow morning; the milling work on the head tube has been successful, and he has a headset that fits with the Project 321 adapter for the carbon lefty. He'll be hitting the trails by Saturday afternoon....

But, before he gets it dirty, I'll take some pics & post them.

Looks good.
Judging from all the mud, Salsa had some serious fun. I like that.
How did it ride?

Great looking bike.

Great looking bike.

Not his choice... He got that cranks set last August, & I wasn't springing for a new one.

Well, I assumed Salsa would post all the particulars, but I guess... NOT.

Salsa Moto Rapido LG frame
Lefty carbon Speed fork
Project 321 adapter
Magura Marta SL brakes
Control Tech carbon bars
Control Tech stem
SRAM XO shifters
SRAM XO rear derailleur
Shimano XT front derailler
Cane Creek headset (not sure which one, but it had the shortest stack height we could get!!)
KCNC Scandium seatpost
Cannondale saddle
Mavic 117 wheelset w/ Kenda Kharisma tires
Shimano 11/32 cassette
Aztec cables
Race Face Evolve crank
Control Tech BB
Time Atac SX pedals
Bontrager carbon fiber water cage
SRAM PC 991 chain

Is that everything? Overall, the build comes in at about $2500.

I wanna see, I wanna see......blocked from myspace at work.

Just out of curiosity, is the kid planning on pre-riding mountwood?

Yeah - I'm thinking the Sat before, but if you want to ride next weekend, pm me & I'll drag him out there - he'd also like to ride the Calhoun park trails with someone if you're into that.

OH OH I forgot - PORK RIND grips.

I'm planning on racing (road) Saturday and then pre-riding mountwood on Sunday. I'm not sure who all will be there but as always, "the kid" is more than welcome to join me / us.

As much travelling as I'm doing right now I'm not sure when I could make it to Calhoun to ride. I've been racing every weekend except for one since 2/24. This past weekend I did two races. I'm racking up some major miles on the card and the people at the gas stations in both WV an Ohio know me by name.

I'm planning on doing some road races on Saturdays and mtb races on Sundays for the next few months. I will either get in shape or die trying!!!!
