alloy question

I got a frame made of Reynolds 501 tubes (road frame). Is it worth upgrading or if i ever wanna get a road bike i should get a new one....its a roadie question but i trust you more here at the mtb forum

501 is straight guage tubing. Probably not worth upgrading...
