I'm done. Well almost.

The Nomad pretty much has it's final build. I've put enough money into this build, need to start planning the next one :) With the exception of a left X.0 shifter being ordered Tuesday, some Syncros Point n Chute tires for the summer, and possibly a Maverick Speedball R (wOOt Downieville!), she's done.

My Saints are being warrantied, so I picked up some XT's which I'll keep on there, and sell the Saints when they come in. Took off the Nokon housing (really not worth it), Easton blows and never sent out my stem, so I picked up a Thomson, picked up a Wicked Racin dualrailleur from Mark (the owner) at Sea Otter.

Still don't know the weight, I'm tempted to bring it into the post office at like midnight one night and throw it up on the scale ;)

It's looking good.

Just find a local factory and ask if you can borrow their scale for a couple of minutes.

Really nice looking ;)

Very nice looking. As for the weight, why don't you just do the old trick of getting on the bathroom scale with and without the bike to get it to the closest pound. That should tide your curiousity over until you get it on a weight weenie scale.

Very nice dude... Sweet build :D

Very cool. I love the looks of those bikes (haven't ridden one but hear good things). I was wondering why there is a tensioner on near the chain ring though. Please educate me...:o

Looks like 36 pounds to me. Good build!

Looks too pretty to ride :) - - better frame it and hang it on the wall.

Nice job!

Damn! Every time I see a Nomad .... well, I just want one badly! Stop posting those pix - you're killing me! Seriously, that's a sweet ride with a great frame color. I may hate you. :D

Nice Build! I can't believe how much has changed since 2000 when I quit working in a Bike Shop. I've not bought a magazine or been in a shop since then. Some HUGE changes. Are those 2.5 inch wide tires your using?

That is a sweet build. I've heard so many great reviews of the nomad, but I just can't get over the top tube shape. I think it's ugly on the Nomad, and on the Jackal it's hideous. I hope it serves some kind of function because I'd be forced to slap the designers if they slapped that on for looks.

2.4 front and rear. all though the Big Betty on the front is a little bigger than the Nobby Nic on the rear.

As for the weight, yeah I would guess around 35-36 lbs with those tires, which I'm not complaining.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. As for the "hump", oh well the ride quality makes up for it :) And yes, the hump on the Jackal is FUGLY :)
