SRAM X-0 trigger shifter clamp mechanics

I was helping someone else with their problem and I realized I needed new SRAM trigger shifters since my X-7s are all beat up and barely working.

What is "4-position mounting system allows you to put the shifter exactly where you want it; inside or outside of the brake lever with two positions on the shifter itself,"? <thats from an eBay seller.

That sounds like something I need since I put the shifter outside of the levers, but I can't figure out what it is exactly from the pictures.

I would also get the more economical X-9 and I was wondering if had had pretty much the same thing. The SRAM site isn't that clear, but it did say adjustable clamp, which doesn't help me since I've never played around with one.

Anyone with the X-9/X-0 that can explain it to me?

Thanks.

So that means I can move the shifter pod in relation to the clamp?

I wonder if this is also on the X-9s.
