Hey, I undertand you all must LOVE your bikes and consider them to be your significant others, but what else do you all do, sports wise? Any other sports that take up your time?

I used to play football for Hibs (girls) but then I quit because it just wasn't fun anymore. These days I do a bit of running and I'm on my trampoline loads, trying to do a 180 front flip at the moment.

When I'm not on the bike I try to act like a good husband. I'm lucky that my wife lets me ride as much as she does without giving me too rough of a time. I'm afraid to push it by trying to get into another sport. Then again, this is kind of two sports for me since I ride / race both road and mountain.

In the winter skiing, mainly cross-country, but next winter will probably start up downhill again.
My wife and I also like to take my daughters out skating and toboganning.

I don't LOVE my bike, I LIKE bikes in general. But if someone were to give me $600 for my bike, they can take it, and keep the tools in the saddle bag, I'll throw in a headlight and helmet too. Also, if someone were to give me $20,000 to not ride any kind of bike for a year, I'd totally do it too. I'd be a bitter hippy hiker with a $60 stick (although I think $20k is what it would take to get me to avoid all bikes.)

Other sports include: paintball -which i quit and sold all my stuff to buy more bike stuff, Hiking (only on trails i really wanna ride but bikes arent allowed, never hiked a trail where bikes were allowed), and uhh thats it, i'm not very sporty, i have craploads of hobbies, but bikes and PB are pretty much the cat's pajamas as far as i'm concerned regarding physical exertion.

Cycling is #1 based on time/$ commitment, and it's ****ing fun!
Snowboarding is #2, although I'm beginning to move toward backcountry snowboarding more. It's hard to beat fresh pow on a bluebird day.
I used to run a lot before my knees gave out when I was 16. If there was some way I could fix my knees, I might do a little trail running.

I dont love bikes....I love mountain biking....Mountain biking is such a great way to experience the nature and explore your inner strength........

Actually Backpacking (4 season) is my first passion. I dont want to call it a sport cause its more like a lifestyle than a sport. The majore backpacking trips that I have done so far are Alaska (denali), Parts of AT, Annapurna Range in Nepal/Himalayas, Bhutan, and Kilimanjaro........

I also love Fishing (fly fishing, Deep sea fishing etc.)

Snowboarding.......snowshoeing

and Cricket......at least I used to play cricket......

Skiing owns mtn biking imo.

When i bike im constantly searching for a similar feeling to carving down a run. It's rare, but on the right trail you can get pretty close.

Hiking, hunting, and fishing. I used to be a big runner, but I mainly just ride my bike now and work out on the ellliptical trainer here at home.
