Weights for 18" '06 Kona Dawg, Dawg Deluxe, and Kikapu Deluxe

Was at the bike store today checking out some '06 Konas (great deals to be had). They had a hanging scale and a very helpfull salesman. All bikes were 18" and completely stock.

Dawg - 34.2 lbs.
Dawg Deluxe - 33.6
Kikapu Deluxe - 32.8

They were all much closer than I thought especially considering how much beefier the Dawg is than the Kikapu.

I weighed my 18" 2006 Dawg Primo at about 32-1/2 pounds on a NIST-traceable scale, but I was just holding it by hand, so I could've misread.

One thing is for sure, Kona doesn't fret too much about missing out on the weight-weenie market.

It depends on what you define as your average mountain bike.

My Stumpjumper FSR Expert weighs 28.8 as I recall. Actually, I suppose for the price, these are in the right weight range. But for me they are too heavy. Unfortunately I had to buy down the weight.
