Women's Saddles
 

I have 2 mountain bikes, both of which are a bit older but I'm new to biking and they're both in pretty good shape. One is a Rocky Mountain Spice (full suspension), the other is a Norco Storm that has been upgraded to all XTR components.

At the bike show in the summer I picked up a Specialized Dolce 155 saddle and love the difference it made in comfort, however the trails where I live are quite technical and the Dolce is just too big for me (it's wide and quite thick). For races I've been switching it out with my old men's saddle which starts to hurt in ways a seat shouldn't hurt after too long!

So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a not too expensive women's saddle that isn't big enough to be a hinderence on tougher trails and downhills. My LBS is pretty good about ordering in anything I want by major companies so that isn't a huge issue.

I didn't even know they made women's specific sadles. What's the diff?

They're usually lighter, and in the case of Specialized they have a groove in them to relieve pressure on soft tissue. Really makes a difference when riding for a long time!
