SO Cal hard pack tires?

Any recommendations for the hard dusty trails down here in San Diego? Looking for something with a little better sidewall bites. Currently running Panaracer Fire XC pros which are perfect back home in Seattle but seem to lack the turning bite on the trails down here.

Kenda Nevagals!
The 1.95s roll fast and climb well. They have plenty of sidewall bite. If you want more grip go for the 2.1s. However, they are noticeably slower on the climbs. Find a good tire pressure and you're set!
