i think my front disc brakes have totally worned out its pads. Now i'm having trouble finding the right pads at my local bike shop.As a last resort, i decided to get it online. I found this one.https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/162...Brake-Pads.htm

I would like to know if this is compatible.

The GX-2 is just a "branded" version of the MX-2 specially painted for giant bikes. The pads you identified are compatible.

However, if you have the cash consider spending an extra $50 at Pricepoint to get a BB-7 to just replace it. GX-2s are difficult to setup, have poor cable alignment (which produces extra cable friction) and weak return springs.

I agree with willtsmith. Save your money and buy a set of Avid mechs. I used to have the GX-2 brakes and i had troubles with them all the time. Constantly changing the pads, and adjusting the calipers. Even doing that, i still couldn't get them to work properly.

In the end i threw on some BB7's with Avid levers and haven't had any complaints.

Your LBS should have them, but might be a little pricey. Give Pricepoint or JensonUSA a go if you find out they're a little overpriced.
