K2 razorback sl frame.

I was wanting to get a full suspention frame that is light and very hardtailish, but i don't want to spend a lot of money. I was looking at the K2 razorback SL frame, and it only costs $780 and weighs around 5.5 lbs. I can't find any reviews on it anywhere. Does anyone have any personal experience with this bike? Any input would be appreciated.

good geometry, good travel, no bobbing. Very well designed for XC. They also have a grassroots program that you may be interested in. Check their website.

The Razorback has been out for a while and is a solid performer. You can also check mtbr.com for reviews of the bike and others.

The Razorback is a David Turner design that K2 liscence's from Turner bikes. Its the same basic design as his Stinger, which btw he no longer makes due to the proprietory rear shock that costs an arm and a leg. The K2 design lacks the horst links at the rear drop outs, so is not quite as active a bike as the stinger, but is a well thought out bike otherwise. It tends towards XC racing/riding and would be inappropriate for freeride use, but is an excellent all day type trailbike. It will soak up small to mid size bumps very well, but founder in big hit territory. They tend to make light complete bikes with good component choices. Choose a good 80-90mm travel fork for best geometry since 100mm travel plus forks will raise the BB too high and slacken the bikes handling traits.

Is that a more detailed answer for you dude?
