Shorter stem...taller rise?
Okay...here's a noob'ish question, but I'm just not sure so I humble myself before you and call upon your assistance.
I'm going shorter on my stem. I have an Easton EA50 that's a 110mm x 6 deg. rise. I'm switching to a Thomson X4 90mm x either 0 or 10 deg. rise. Since the head tube on a bike is angled backward, when I go to a shorter stem...it will drop my handlebar-to-ground distance a little bit.
Should I use a 90mm x 10 degree to make up for the drop, or will it be so neglegable that I should do a 0 degree rise?

I would say yes...go with the 10 degrees...
if you were going from 110 to 100 with the same angle rise then I would say dont worry about it...but 20mm is somewhat dramatic and you definantly dont want to go any lower of an angle because that just furthers the difference...if your comfortable with what you got then try to keep it relativly similar. So adding 4 degrees of rise will somewhat balance out the change...though steering will probably feel a bit different, more twitchy and responsive.
