Which bike has better components?
 

I have never purchased a mountain bike before and I am very new to the sport. I have my heart set on the following two full-suspension mountain bikes but I know nothing about their quality. They were recommended by bike forums members "jm01" and "taylor p". Based on their components which appears to be the best bike and why? Please disregard their prices as both are well within my budget.

since they were recommended by members here, i'm sure each bike has their ups and downs. they both look like they have decent components on them. however i know people here are gonna turn you away from the cadillac because they are good at one thing... making cars-not bikes. but in my opinion, they both look like good bikes.. interesting how the cadillac is running deore xc with a manitou nixon though... i bet the frame isn't too good though.

Are the deore xc and manitou nixon considered good components? I really am torn between the two bikes. Both look absolutely great. Others have also said that both have good components. The KHS store is only 4 miles from my house however the Cadillac can be ordered at Amazon.com for only $900 ($300 off the sale price) with free shipping. The Cadillac frame comes with lifetime warranty. Parts are 1 year.

I just learned that the Cadillacs are made by Kent. I decided to go with the KHS.
