well the titan is a no go!

my parents are making me send back the titan frame, and buy either an already built bike or a kit that includes a frame, so i am looking at the transition vagrant. any other suggestions for a freeride hardtail?

Sorry I can't help but laugh.

The Vagrant is a sick bike, I almost bought one.

What's your budget?

id rather not spend enough to get the vagrant but if i have to i will, i am looking at a 2005 iron horse yakuza bakota new for 600 but the fork is crap and the crankset is crap, so it will be at least 1000.00. they titan is in an unopened box in my living room, and i really want to open it. this is going to cost me 60 bucks to have the frame overnight. rght now i have about 700 bucks, i make about 300 or a little more a week so it will take about three weeks to get the bike.

so lets say my budget is 1800 and under, i would rather spend less and probably won't spend more.

You can freeride with lots of frames. If you are not a large person, you can use more of a DJ style bike. Such as a Kona. I used one for a long time, and held up great.

This may be a dumb question but, why did they make you send it back? I'm guessing it might be something with the paintjob? I have never seen the Titan frame.

i was actually looking at this, its not the frame they don't like its the fact that i ahve to buy each part seperatly and last time i did this i went too cheap and the bike is constantly in the shop for stuff that is either to much of a pain to fix, such as the chainguide with e-type bottom bracket mount, right know they are using a seaqtpost clamp to give the chainguide an extra point of contact with the bike and make it a bit more rigid.

i haven't even opened it, the guy at the bike shop said that i should buy, because, "WHEN EVER YOU BUILD A BIKE LIKE YOU NEED THERE IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM" i guess a 73mm bottom bracket is a problem. wtf?
