Did I Get The Wrong Size?

When I bought my Marlin last year the seat post was all the way to the max line. The guy at the shop said it was good fit for me and it felt good at the time. Now after riding it for a while I feel that I want it higher, past the max line. Did I get sized wrong or do they make longer seat posts? With the Genesis geometry the seat post looks long enough. I'm thinking that you can't go longer but am I wrong?

I think Thomsons go up to 400+mm. Check yours, it says on the side. Often they're 260 OEM.
