I knew him on Foo. cream.soda, I hope you will pass along our condolences to Alfred's family. He was one of those younger members who never hesitated to socialize with us older ones, and he always made us smile with his quirky threads and posts. His candor, humor, and sarcasm was a breath of fresh air whenever he posted on Foo. In the year that I "knew" him, I saw him mature so much, and was looking forward to reading more as he entered adulthood.

As Bekologist of A&S and Touring says, "Rest in peace, dark rider." If you practice the custom of Ghost Bikes in the Toronto area, I hope you will share a photo of Alfred's with us all.

This is just so sad. There's really nothing more to say, except that I hope his family finds some comfort in knowing that he's at peace, and that he died doing what he loved.

Yeah I was thinking of making a ghost bike for him, but I have no idea where I would get such a bike and such... Maybe my biking friends and I will sort that out later

I've PMed some other Torontonians in hopes they might know people who do this. I can tell you, cream.soda, that it's a regular (unofficial) group who do this here in Portland. I'm sure it's similar there. I hope you never have to think about another one again, dear, but some help for you and your buddies this time might be good if you really want this.

Such terrible news. Strangely enough, I was just talking about him the other day with a friend of mine... I "knew" him from Foo, where he always seemed so quick-witted and fun. My condolences to his family.

If a Toronto ride is organised in the next two weeks, please let me know.

我想对Rev.monkey的父母表示:你们的儿子虽然很年轻但给我们全BF社区的人留下了一种非常深刻的感觉。

That is the contact info for a downtown Toronto group that I believe does ghost bikes - perhaps they can advise.
