SGS derailleur

Can I use my EZ fire ST-EF29 shifters with an Shimano XT SGS rear derailleur...I dont know what the SGS is all about...

OH ok...so SGS doesnt mean SUPER long cage? someone one the mechanics forum said SGS is Super long and GS is just long.

GS is short cage, SGS long cage.
