helmet

i know that skate style helmets are more protective than regular vented helmets, is it a bad idea to freeride in a regular vented helmet.

Helmut choice should be suitable to or better than the given risk factor involved. If I was in "stupid" mode, then I would want a full face helmut and other appropriate riding gear. If I was just doing wheelies in a parking lot then a vented helmut would do me just fine.
