I think i was at an LBS one time and they had plastic inserts that fit into it but they looked more for just test riding. You may want to check w/ your local LBS.

im going to commute with tennis shoes

And really, if you are concerned about grip. Put small studs through the wood in key spots for a little extra grip.

Heck if you could build one burly enough you might be able to actually use it as a flat pedal...hmmmmm....hmmmmm...

...or just ride in proper shoes and carry your work shoes in a pack?

I don't understand why people are always complaining about wanting a platform with clipless. It adds weight and clipless were meant to be clipless, not platform. It takes me all of a minute to get a hex wrench out and change the pedals on my bike.

Breitling 07-10-07 08:29 PM

i want a platform and clipless pedal b/c im in college and i go riding about twice a week and commute to class 5 days a week. i dont really feel like changing my pedals four times a week every week.
