Test your Mountain Biking Knowledge
Ok, so this is how this would work. I would ask a question to do with mountain biking, people guess/answer it until somebody guesses correctly, and then somebody else posts a new question.
Ok, here goes.
Question: What was the first mass Production Mountain Bike to come with any form of suspension?

I see fat, squishy tires, a 'suspension' seat and a semi-springer fork. Something of that says suspension to me; altogether it sounds squishier than the first Stumpjumper
[Raiyn still has it beat with the Bianchi military folder, though.]

The qestion said mass production. Was the 1915 one mass produced? Also that old leaf sprung metal rimed thing I'm sure was not mass production.

However, Schwinn's 1938 springer fork (a design stolen directly from motorcycles of the era) was mass-produced for the consumer market.

Was the Bianchi a mountain bike? The Schwinn obviously wasn't a mountain bike.

Since it was a folding bike created for the Italian Army for use darned-near anywhere, yeah, I guess it could be considered a mountain bike.
Tell that to the few thousand kids growing up in largely rural America in 1938 that their wonderful freedom machine was not a mountain bike
And I get what the OP is driving at: the 'modern' era of the mountain bike. But looking myopically at that one blip in the history of the bike ignores all of the other times all our wonderful 'modern innovations' have been invented.

Can I ask a more specific one since the first question was obviously muddled with several correct answers?
It's an easy one.
What manufacturer and brand name material used for a frame was made from an aluminum based alloy reinforced with with a material commonly known by its chemical composition B(sub)4C, or boron carbide?

Is FS 'fully suspended' or 'front suspension'?
There are a few mass-production MTBs that could qualify. Off the top of my head, the SE Descender (rear suspension only) would be one of the first, Girven/Proflex, Manitou, Moots, Moulton, Slingshot and Softride were all within a few years.
