Fork has started "clicking" ???
 

Hi,
I have a Specialized Hardrock Pro Disk 07, and it currently has Marzocchi MZ Race fork on it. I have been using it for XC and some freeride and general recreational cycling. But havn't misused it or been using it for jumping etc.


Recently, the forks have started making a clicking sort of noise, and it happens when i compress the fork, and certainly when it rebounds and is annoying when i am standing while pedalling. It doesn't sound too healthy either. I'm pretty certain it's coming from the stanchions, and not from anything else on the bike.

I have no idea what the problem might be, anyone with any ideas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My MZ Race when locked out and I start to climb also makes a slight clicking noise. I haven't noticed any thing different, but I thought maybe my weight was putting to much stress on it. I'm a little over 5'11" and weigh about 201 pounds.

I'm 5ft 9 and in my teens but have no idea about my weight.

And yeah i noticed it still "clicks" when using lock out. But today i found two large indents in the back of my right stanchion and handn't noticed it until today - i think its from my last wipeout. Maybe the fork was under too much stress then. But the clicking or noise is driving me insane.

In the nicest way possible it's nice to know i'm not the only one with this problem with this fork.
