Most brakes have different adapters for the different fork standards. Did you check the Avid site for the availability of a post mount? Check the instructions for installing the brakes, again on the Avid site, and they will describe what is needed and how to install it to the post mount.

How big is a standard post mount on a fork? Is it 74mm?

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's 74mm. I recently had this headache going from post-mount on my Manitou Axel Elite to IS on my new SID Team.

I am not sure about the juicy 5, but the BB7s come with the gear to make it fit for both systems.

Yeah, the Avid's will come with the CPS bracket which you won't need as far as I know. You should be be okay. Instead of using the black CPS piece , you'll bolt the caliper straight to the fork. The CPS adapter looks like this :

It comes with the Juicy setup, so you'll just mount up your brakes without it. They give you all the necessary hardware for post as well as IS.

take off the IS mount adapter (the black peice). save the adjustment washers and bolts. Bolt the rest of the brake directly into the post mount

(repeat of previous post)

This does not always work due to: rotor size; or caliper body hitting the fork before the the tabs settle on the posts. If he needs the adapter, Avid makes one.
