Anyone ridden this fork?
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...tain+3+07.aspx Anyone tried it?
I need a better fork for my kona shred. I am 150 lbs and like to ride a variety of stuff but mostly just trail riding with many climbs, decents, and tall roots. A few drops usually not over 3 feet for now. I need something more plush then the stock fork which feels more like a pogo stick then a shock. Any advice would be appreciated. |

BUT it is the wrong fork for a Shred. Way too long and will ruin the handling of your bike. |
Have any recomendations for a shorter fork that will work with my existing hub? I would go with a 20mm thruaxle but I dont have the cash to change hubs right now or the desire really.

well a budget would help... http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...n+Fork+07.aspx RockShox Tora. $275, adjusts from 85-130mm i dunno, just a suggesion to start. i take it your an all mountain XC rider?

that bike is a djing bike, just like the cowan and the scrap, they are all meant for 100mm of travel, and dj bike usually have either a very stiff fork such as a marz dj or a rigid fork

if you put money into it, get air. that way you can drop the pressure for trails.
|
i personnaly like coils, because you never have to fill them, they won't loose air in the course of a ride. if you feel like changing the amount of air in your fork before and after you hit the trails have fun, but i would stick with the coil or even a coil with air assist
