More Santa Cruz Questions?

Anyone here riding a Santa Cruz Blur XC that weighs 200 or more? I am worried about frame failure. I would rather buy the Nomad but everyone I talk to in my area tells me it is way too much bike for the kind of trails we have. Also the Blur is lighter on the pocket book.

Thanks
Mike

you'd need like 20" rotors to stop!

have you considered the Heckler? I'm about 190, no problem.

Why not look at the Blur LT or the Heckler? The LT is a little tougher then the XC version and a little longer travel, but not quite to the extent of the Nomad. May be the perfect middle of the road.

I'm a bigger guy too and if it were me, I would go for the Heckler. Burly bike but not too heavy and with the current level or rear shocks available the single pivot design works beautifully.

I love the PC terms......I'm not "bigger", or "heavy", I'm just a fat butt.

I rode a Heckler when I weighed about 225-230lbs with no problems. Right now I'm 195lbs and alternate between that and my Kona.

How about pleasantly plump?

crosspost from clydesdale forum;

'I am a big guy and my cankles rub against my cranks when I pedal. which cankle lubricant should I use and which shirt will give my moobies the support they so desperately need? Also, could you let me know which lightweight carbon seatpost to get?

thanks'
