What is the best bang for the buck?

I'm in the market for a new MB. I am looking at 2 bikes in particular, both are 2007 models offered at a 20% discount. One is a FSR Comp for sale at $1280 the other is a Stumpjumper FSR Comp at $1760. Is the Stumpjumper worth the additional cash? I won't be racing. Most of the riding will be recreational cross country trail riding. I am in my early fifties so I won't be riding too aggresively. Thanks.

My opinion is, the Stumpy is worth the difference. better suspension components, will be easier to dial in and balance the front to rear. better crank (outboard bearings)...... well the list goes on but the suspension upgrades are where my opinion is based.

Yes, get the better bike.

You will not regret spending a little more in 4 or 5 years.
