clip-ins and knee surgury?

ive wanted to buy a clip in set for my 4300 for some time now but ive recently had reconstructive surgury due to a complete acl tare in my right knee can any one tell me from experience if this is still a good idea i havent asked my dr. yet but i will before i buy anything

Wait until the graft is fully healed before you go mountain biking or maybe even road biking. Stick to the stationary and treadmill until you are better. It is easy to tear the recent graft.

I have had both ACL's done and ride with clipless pedals all the time. But I waited 6 months after surgery.

ive riden pavement for around two months now and its been 4 months sdince my surgury also ive put in 5 miles of singletrack last weekend. my physical therpist said it was ok as long as i didnt have to stand up to pedal (3 months ago)

Based on my experience with a torn ligiment you shoulkd be ok by now. I was 58 and operation end of Feb riding by end of May, but check with Doc and therpist.

im riding fine now. i guess my question was more about the allignment of the cleats causeing knee pain
