Seriously, that's no mountain bike... it's more like a cruiser with delusions of grandeur.

Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

I'm not trying to be nasty here, just honest.

how much did you pay for it (in other words, how much could you get if you returned it (and subsequently bought a real mountain bike with it))

Thank you to all who responded with honesty & civility.
Seems that a whole lot of people here in this sub-forum are very rude & disrespectful. I don't wonder why. on the otherhand, i really don't care.

just pointing this out, but when they advertise "Shimano Front Deraileur", its not a good sign. an automatic shifter is pretty stupid, and the kickstand is another bad sign. I'm sorry to tell you, but its not a mountain bike. return that thing (if you can) and go to your LBS (local bike shop) and you'll see the difference. if you dont, MTBing isnt the sport for you

Why is people so rude in this forum? I know it is not a mountain bike but who cares if the OP is happy with it? One of the things that really make me steer away from this forum is the small group of "pontifical" *******s that seem to know it all.

To the OP: Enjoy your rig.

Put it through it's paces and get back to us. Try riding wheelies and hopping over some fallen trees and try some down-hill switch-backs in muddy soil. Also, try riding up some grueling rocky hills. You might find that steel frame is just too heavy to be called a mountain bike.

Because the poster is most likely a troll.

If in fact he isn't a troll, he should know that that bike is not intended for off road use, for his own safety. If the truth is rude, so be it.

That post you is merely your perception. In reality if one is to read that CAREFULLY, mtnbiker66, one would see that that was actually a compliment. Some of YOU people are ridiculous, so worried about catching your own kinds ,like Pete Fagerlin(he should be the Capt. of you guys,as he is the best). Have a nice time, Mountain biking>crew.

True that.
But to be honest, you couldn't possibility think it can handle offroad right? I dont think it can even handle fireroad IMO. Its more like a commuter that belongs on pavement.
Anyways welcome to the forum and enjoy your bike!

I'd kinda like to see one of the auto-shift thingers up close though, I will admit it has piqued my interest in the past... but not enough to actually go out and buy one of those things.
