V brake for 29" front.

I put a rigid fork on my old mountain bike and saw I had plenty of room for a 29" wheel. The only problem is that the noodle does not clear the top of the tire. Are there any long reach V Brakes out there?

You could go the disc brake up front route...if you had a disc hub...
I aways hate to say this, but I think you might well be out of luck. Unless you're not a fan of mechanical advantage or braking power, and want to get a cantilever up there, set up nearly vertical with a really long straddle cable. If I were in your shoes, I'd make sure the thing handles like it should, and if so, then I'd buy a disc hub and build my white behind a new front wheel. And get rid of that "Made in Taiwan" sticker! Decorum! |
paul motolites have the longest arms that I'm aware of.

Thanks, I wil shoot Paul's an emai to see if it will work.
I just got rid of the disks and just bought the 29" wheel so I want to keep it for a while. One brake in the rear was fine to start with because I was using it for an all weather urban commuter bike but doesn't quite cut it on single track |
