Hi all,
I've got a pair of RST gila plus t5's, the problem is the stud that the brakes go on are missing, I was wondering if these can be bought or do i have to buy new forks?.....there seems to be a thread in the hole that the stud goes.

any help on on this would great

I think those cantilever/V-brake studs are pretty standard. Check with a bike shop.

Tried at my local bike shop......and they seem to think you can't remove them....And that i'll have to buy new forks.

BS. Time to find a new bike shop.

There are bolt type mounts that screw in, then you mount the V-Brake(s) to them. They are very standard, however they do come in different lengths. So try another bike shop that knows what they are talking about, and i'm sure they would have some in stock. Again they are very standard and i'm surprised your current LBS had no clue.
