Quitting smoking and vaping after 7 years

Nearly almost every day.

I'm a very active person but have had this addiction (MJ) for years since high school.

After 2 days of feeling short of breath I have realized that is one of the scarier feelings and even if it isn't because of my addiction, it would soon be the result of it down the road. I like my lungs and want them in top condition. I like being active and after 7 years of this I am so happy to have finally awakened from my lock and chain, and I look forward to seeing what it is like to be in a healthy physical state after I recover. Wish me luck. I'm doing it with a friend and I look forward to this, no matter how hard it is. You can mark my words, I'll never do what I did again. Sometimes you just need that extra shock, or push, to be shaken back into reality.

The best of luck and determination to you.

Jeez, I smoked the KGB for like 35 years, most of it 'all day, every day' kind. Definitely not lung friendly. It's good now, I like having a clear mind.

i recommend laying on a roof and relaxing. lets those breathing muscles get released like you couldn't imagine. a lot of things come up. last time i did this i had also taken three hits of lsd, so phlegm wasn't the only thing i would be letting go of.

I thought it was pretty clear, but if you don't understand what vaping is, it's vaporizing..heating up plant material without combustion so you don't smoke so much but rather get vapor instead

Good luck man, I quit smoking and smoking a few years ago and never looked back. You'll be surprised how clear you are in just a short time. Stick with, best thing you can do health wise.

Congrats, I'm sure you will find more productie things to do with your time now. You should also notice better recovery time when off the bike becuase you will be utilizing more testosterone now

Dude, you're 16 or so right? Lighten up, loosen your bowtie and uncork that tight arse of yours.
Better yet, go smoke a bowl

legalize,

Did you have a tobacco dependency or was it solely MJ?

Quitting MJ opens up a lots of free time. Seize this as a opportunity to discover new hobbies/pursuits that positively add to your life experience. There is nothing quite like a natural high that's genuinely earned. Being in control is truly empowering. Best of luck

i was a habitual smoker for about 5 years. Realized playing outdoors got me way higher and then i realized i wanted a nicer a bike. Buying a new bike and sweet parts was good motivation to quit buying bags. Also, if you hit a rough spot, get some physical activity. I found the endorphins really help when you are fiending. Good luck friend!

Phish quitting tour helped too. A change of scenes and new musical taste came along with my change of lifestyle.

Thats funny, you sound like a buddy of mine haha.

And to the OP, some of us old time smokers have never even heard of "vaping"...its not just a "non" smoker thng.

I haven't quit 100%, but I restrict it socially only. I didn't find it was ruling my life or even hurting my lungs, I just didn't enjoy it as much. now when I do smoke, I feel like I did 15 years ago.

Actually, it always has been. There has been an underlying current of smokers. I think you would be shocked at the number. go read through some old posts, its usually not this in your face, but there have always been hints and fun references.

My friend did it last year, and said the best feeling was being able to find his shoes in the morning. Good luck.
